About Danielle

Danielle Powell joined the WJCL/Fox 28 news team in October of 2006. She is the producer of WJCL News at 7 & 11 p.m. and Fox 28 News at 10 p.m. and does the weekly restaurant feature “The Dish with Danielle.”

Raised in Brunswick, Danielle has called Southeast Georgia home for most of her life. She began her career in journalism while in college at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro where she reported for the school’s cable television station. After graduating in May of 2006 with her B.S. degree in Broadcasting, she interned at WJCL/Fox 28 and later became the morning show producer for “Good Morning” on WJCL and “AM Alive” on Fox 28 in October of 2006.

When Danielle’s not dishin’ up the scoop on locally owned restaurants in and around Savannah she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching good movies and just having a good time.
